Brandon McKissic – Missouri-Kansas City

2020-21 stats: 17.2 pts, 3.7 rebs, 3.3 asts, 50.8 fg%

Brandon McKissic is another guy that many may not have heard of because he played at Missouri-Kansas City in the Summit League. He averaged 17 points last season but what jumps out when you look at his numbers are his field-goal percentages and how they have improved. Over his final two seasons at UMKC he shot 51% from the field after not shooting higher than 46% in his first two.

More specifically, his numbers dramatically improved last season, shooting nearly 43% from the three-point line and 54% on his two-point attempts. What makes McKissic different from Fleming and Jones is he does more of his offensive work with penetration and his ability to get to the rim.

The three-point shot is not a big part of McKissic’s game, only shooting 70 last season, but he made 43% of those attempts. But, his midrange game and ability to get to the rim means defenders have to give him some space, allowing him to get off his jumper.

But like Fleming, McKissic is also a defensive stalwart, earning the Summit League’s DPOY last season, so the ability to improve the offensive depth of the Gators’ roster without any defensive downgrade is definitely on the table for Florida next season.
