NCAA Basketball: Analyzing 8 team options for top 50 C Donovan Clingan
Donovan Clingan released his top eight NCAA Basketball school options on Monday evening. Michigan, Ohio State, Georgetown, Syracuse, UConn, Providence, Rutgers, and Notre Dame all made the list. A Bristol Connecticut native, Clingan averaged 27.3 points, 17.2 boards, 5.8 blocks, and 3.1 assists per game during his junior season, and he had some 2k like numbers in some of the early playoff games.
Clingan comes in currently as the number 42 player in the class of 2022 on 24/7. If you’ve had a chance to watch his film you’ll notice his elite shot-blocking ability as well as his footwork. Clingan appears to be just scratching the surface of his talents and with another summer to develop and another full season of high school hoops he could put up an even more ridiculous stat line for his senior campaign.
Highly sought after, there’s a lot to like about Clingan, he already has well-established footwork and can definitely stroke the ball from distance when he’s not under pressure. Clingan looks to be a matchup nightmare that’s ready to play at the next level right away.
There’s going to be a lot of competition for Clingan as there are a lot of good programs on his list. Clingan has hinted that he would like to commit before the start of his senior year, this summer will be vital for these programs trying to secure their future big man.
Here’s a look at the eight schools that made Donovan Clingan’s list.
