Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame has been somewhat quiet in this recruiting process but Mike Brey has been on Clingan for a while. Notre Dame had an assistant coach out to watch Clingan back at the beginning of his sophomore season.

Brey and the staff had been in constant contact with Clingan’s high school coach prior to being able to speak directly with Clingan. With constant check-ups since early in his high school career and being able to have someone out to watch him it’s easy to see why they made the list.

The Irish however had a down year finishing 11-15. They’ll be looking to improve with Yale transfer Paul Atkinson down low.

Georgetown Hoyas

Georgetown was one of the first schools to offer Clingan and it’s easy to understand why highly rated front-court players might be intrigued to play under Ewing. Georgetown was pretty underwhelming for most of this past season outside of an impressive run through the Big East Tournament. Perhaps giving the program some much-needed momentum for the future.

The Hoyas needed that as a success under Ewing hasn’t been that easy to come by in his first few years in charge. Big men Wahab and Pickett both found success this season as a front-court duo. Clingan would be able to come in and make an impact while trying to develop his game under one of the most successful bigs in basketball history.

The Hoyas are in contention but this is a list with a lot of good teams on it.
