NCAA Basketball: Class of 2022’s No. 2 recruit Jalen Duren release top 11 list

Five-star NCAA Basketball prospect Jalen Duren announced he’s considering Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Memphis, Miami (FL), Michigan, Penn State, UCLA, Villanova as well as professional options via the NBA G-League and NBL routes.

The Montverde Academy product has been very disruptive during the 2020-2021 prep season helping the Eagles to another GEICO Nationals championship. Transitioning to the grassroots season with Nike EYBL member Team Final (PA), Duren is already putting other players on notice with his dominance.

Ranked only behind Emoni Bates in the 2022 class, Duren is a double-double machine waiting to happen. As possibly the most physically ready prospect for the college game, or even professional ranks, it’s no surprise the 6’10” center has been so successful in producing at the highest levels of high school basketball. The scary part to think about is that Duren’s skill set is still growing and he is showcasing elevated aspects of his development.

Specifically, he has shown increased comfort putting the ball on the floor to make plays and facilitate both out of the post and on the move. His range, both in contesting and impacting plays defensively as well as comfortable shooting the ball, is coming along quickly too.

Given his talents, and at a premium position, it’s no surprise to see heavy-hitters leading the majority of Duren’s list.
