20. F Mouhamadou Gueye – Stony Brook Seawolves

2020-21 stats: 9.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.1 bpg

5th in the country in blocks last season, Gueye is a 6’9 forward coming off of winning Defensive Player of the Year in the America East. He had a career-high eight blocks in a game against UMBC and also had six games of at least 10 rebounds in 21 played overall. Gueye had 10 games in double-digit scoring and can also shoot the three-ball if left wide open.

With one year left, Gueye has the opportunity to move up a level and be a potential rotational piece based on his defense alone. The question is whether it can translate. He won’t be much of an offensive weapon but defense isn’t something you can teach and for those currently lacking it, should look at Gueye.

19. F Jairus Hamilton – Maryland Terrapins

2020-21 stats: 6.5 ppg and 2.4 rpg

The 6’8 combo forward figured to be the leading frontcourt player for the Terps this past season, but Donta Scott’s emergence forced Hamilton to come off the bench. He was a solid player overall, averaging 20 mpg as a 6th man but didn’t have the consistent offensive production to ever feel like a key piece.

The bright spot in Hamilton’s past season was that he shot 43% from three-point range and is a versatile player to have in any rotation. He may not be a power conference starter but in the right spot could be a double-digit performer as a 6th man.
