6. F Steffon Mitchell – Boston College Eagles

2020-21 stats: 9.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg and 1.5 apg

Guards have led the Boston College basketball program in the past few years but one constant down low has been Mitchell, a four-year starter that has been a solid overall piece in the frontcourt. He’s never been a double-digit scorer but at 6’8 has been a quality rebounder, along with good passing and was named All-ACC on the defensive side.

Mitchell is a consistent and effective player with little usage and can be plugged into any team’s lineup. If willing to come off the bench, he can certainly be a huge asset for any contending team needing a little more depth on the inside.

5. G CJ Fredick – Iowa Hawkeyes

2020-21 stats: 7.5 ppg and 47% three-point shooting

The 6’3 shooting guard was a double-digit scoring freshman with the Hawkeyes but saw his production dip a bit this past year. In fairness, Luka Garza and his 25 ppg average was the clear lead of the offense, along with a few other capable scoring guards on the roster. But what makes Fredrick a coveted target is his elite three-point shooting, making 47% in the last two seasons.

Fredick isn’t the greatest defender and he’s a clear off-guard but his shooting ability alone can change a team’s offense. He’s from the Kentucky area and has been reportedly linked with the Wildcats, potentially giving them the kind of shooter from deep the program hasn’t had in years.
