Orlando gets another lottery pick here from Chicago in the Nikola Vucevic trade. They spent the fifth pick in getting guard Jalen Green. And with an already crowded backcourt, the Magic get a wing here in Moses Moody.

Moody at 19 years old should be a very productive player in the league. The question is how high is his ceiling. He already has a nice frame and good shooting mechanics. He is already a great on-ball and off-ball defender with an outstanding IQ.

There are questions about Moody’s explosiveness and finishing around the rim. And he also settles for a lot of mid-range jumpers instead of stepping out and taking the three-point shot.

Like I stated earlier the Magic have a nice young core with Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Markelle Fultz, and R.J. Hampton. The addition of Green and Moody will give Orlando plenty of scoring options. Moody is a prospect that can come in and help a team right away. There are questions about his ceiling, but at the least, you get a guy who could be a nice three and D player. Which is a nice value at the number 7 pick.
