Georgia transfer guard Sahvir Wheeler was not only one of the top point guards in the SEC the last two seasons, but in all of NCAA Basketball as well.

Wheeler, a Houston, TX native, originally committed to Georgia as a 4-star prospect in the Class of 2019, the same class as former #1 overall pick Anthony Edwards. Wheeler showed flashes of how good he could be during his freshman season as he started in a little over half of the Bulldogs games averaging 9.0 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 4.5 APG.

Wheeler then got even better this past season as a sophomore where he averaged 14 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 7.4 APG starting in all 26 of the Bulldogs games. Emerging as one of the top point guards in the SEC, Wheeler led the SEC in assists during the 2020-21 season, while also ranking fourth in the country.

Wheeler isn’t the biggest guard at 5’10 180 lbs., but can beat you in many ways. Scoring in double-figures in all but four of Georgia’s games last season, Wheeler is a consistent double-digit scorer, as well as an excellent passer that can easily create shots for himself and others. While he’s not the greatest 3-point shooter, Wheeler has the ability to carve up a defense and get to the rim and finish with ease but is also excellent at finding the open man.

Wheeler brings a lot to your team, especially offensively, and has the potential to be one of the most impactful transfer decisions of the offseason. Here is a breakdown of the four finalists for the Georgia transfer guard, one of the top available transfers of the offseason.
