When it comes to the star power of the entrants of the NCAA Basketball transfer portal, we’ve had a bit of a dry spell in recent weeks. However, a huge name joined the free agency tracker in Remy Martin, one of the best scoring point guards in the country the past couple of years.

After being named Pac-12 6th Man of the Year as a freshman, Martin was promoted to the starting lineup, where he averaged 12.9 ppg and a career-high 5.0 apg. The Arizona State playmaker saw his production increase even more as an upperclassman, scoring 19.1 ppg in each of the last two seasons and being named as an All-Pac 12 performer.

Martin had a few 30+ point efforts but what made him such a good player for the Sun Devils is that he was consistently scoring around 20 points every single game. He can make a three-point, nail a mid-range jumper and even drive to the basket at a successful rate. The 6’0 guard can pass the ball and rack up assists as well.

This past season, Martin had four games of at least 30 points, including an eight-game stretch where he was averaging around 25 points a night. but injuries for both he and the rest of the Sun Devils derailed them into finishing near the bottom of the Pac-12 standings.

As expected, Martin declared for the NBA Draft after the end of the season and the intentions looked to be that it was the end of his college career. However, the former Arizona State star recently entered his name into the transfer portal, leaving the option of a 5th year if the draft process doesn’t go his way.

With Marcus Carr officially off to the pros, that puts Martin now as potentially the best available free agent. While he still may be off to the NBA Draft, that won’t stop some teams from trying to land him just in case.

Here are 10 major programs I think could have a shot at Remy Martin.
