Duke Blue Devils

Regardless of what happens with five-star prospect Pat Baldwin Jr. (picking between Duke and Milwaukee soon), the Blue Devils will still have several scholarships available after losing several players to both the NBA Draft and transfer portal. The team is set just about everywhere in the rotation, led by incoming five-star prospects, Trevor Keels, AJ Griffin, and Paolo Banchero.

The one area where the team can improve is at point guard, where rising sophomore Jeremy Roach is projected to lead. There is top-100 incoming freshman Jaylen Blakes but with so many underclassmen, it would be preferred to have a veteran leading this Blue Devils roster. Martin would be an upgrade at PG over Roach but whether Duke would be willing to make the effort to recruit him is another question.

Kansas Jayhawks

After losing starting guard Marcus Garrett and possibly Ochai Agbaji, the Jayhawks currently have Drake transfer Joseph Yesufu slated to start at point guard next season. They’re looking for depth, hence why Kansas is targeting both TyTy Washington and Georgia transfer Sahvir Wheeler.

In case they lose out on both of them and are concerned about Yesufu playing at the Big 12 level, it makes sense for Coach Bill Self to try and add another playmaker to the roster. The Jayhawks, a projected preseason top-15 team at worst, are a big enough program to lure Martin back to college, assuming that there’s nothing else going on regarding potential sanctions down the road for alledged recruiting misconduct.
