6. North Carolina Tar Heels

I’m hedging my bets here with the Tar Heels because they could become either the No. 1 or 10 option for Traudt depending on how good a job new head coach Hubert Davis does. It’s a big name and there’s plenty of potential playing time once Brady Manek and Armando Bacot move on but the program is after several other class of 2022 frontcourt options as well.

One thing in UNC’s favor is the change in frontcourt philosophy. Instead of the traditional two-big post threats on the court, spacing is now the way the coaching staff is going, with the Oklahoma transfer Manek as a prime example. If things look good on the court, this certainly could be a great option for Traudt to consider.

5. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Coach Fred Hoiberg finally landed a top-tier recruit for the Huskers in five-star guard Bryce McGowens, brother of senior guard Trey McGowens. After another roster overhaul, this current Nebraska team looks good enough to start being competitive in the Big Ten.

As the other local option besides Creighton, the Cornhuskers offers Traudt a much easier path towards playing time, as the only true power forwards on the roster are Trevor Lakes and Derrick Walter. The catch here is that he may have to wait all four years of eligibility before being able to make the NCAA Tournament.
