4. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes will be in need of a power forward after next year, once star forward EJ Liddell departs. The program is in great current shape, having the top recruiting class of 2022, led by a trio of four-star guard prospects. They’ll be looking for a frontcourt piece or two, including a stretch forward of Traudt’s caliber.

The only real issue here is that Ohio State is heavily focused on forwards and is after several other top-50 prospects including Kyle Filipowski, Jalen Washington, Tarris Reed, Jr., and others. Depending on the timing of Traudt’s own decision, the Buckeyes either will be a top option or fall off a bit.

3. Oklahoma Sooners

New head coach Porter Moser and staff have been aggressive on the recruiting trail, targeting a number of top-100 prospects. Whether they’ll land any in the first class remains to be seen but of all the region options, this one makes the most sense Traudt when it comes to potential early time and playing for a competitive team.

The Sooners frontcourt consists of grad transfers Tanner Groves and Ethan Chargois, as well as JUCO transfer Akol Mawein. Traudt would definitely have a big role in his freshman campaign and with a known developer such as Coach Moser, could end up as a star in the Big 12.
