We have updated news of the recruitment for one of the top west coast players in the 2022 NCAA Basketball recruiting class. Sadraque Nganga is a consensus five-star prospect and ranking in the top-20 overall according to 247sportsComposite.

Originally from Angola, Nganga plays his high school in the state of Arizona for Compass Prep. He’s a 6’9 explosive power forward that’s still learning the game overall but has tremendous high upside potential. He already has a great offensive game that doesn’t simply over-rely on athleticism alone to succeed.

If Nganga continues to improve his range, he could end up as a top-10 overall prospect. There are few weaknesses with his game already and with some continued development next year and in college, it’s not out of the question that he ends up as a “one and done” future NBA Draft prospect.

While other prospects have been setting up visits and compiling lists of potential suitors right now, we know exactly which NCAA Basketball programs are in contention to land Nganga.

Some of these options clearly stick out compared to others but with an international prospect, any of them could eventually win out. Here’s how I would rank each program in terms of the potential fit for Nganga at the moment.

11. Georgia Bulldogs

This is a program under head coach Tom Crean that has targeted and landed five-star prospects such as Anthony Edwards but right now, they’re in turmoil. The Bulldogs are essentially replacing its entire roster, losing all of its key players to the transfer portal. The good news is that there is plenty of playing time available for Nganga and he could be a focal point of the offense from Day 1.

But I don’t think that would be good for both sides. As talented a prospect the forward is, he isn’t served best being the top option on offense as a freshman. He’s best served to play on a more balanced team that doesn’t expose any clear weaknesses out the gate. The Bulldogs don’t offer much outside of playing time right now, hence why they’re on the bottom.
