NCAA Basketball: Alonzo Verge, Tre Mitchell among top available transfers
4. C Moussa Cisse – Memphis Tigers
2020-21 stats: 6.6 ppg and 6.3 rpg
The former five-star prospect looked every bit of raw for Memphis, averaging fewer than 20 mpg and having many games where he looked lost on the court. But Cisse had his fair share of moments as well, including a three-game stretch in league play where he averaged 12 ppg and 10 rpg. He can be a great shot-blocking defender and with an improved offensive game can end up being one of the top centers in the game.
Cisse is currently going through the NBA Draft process but no mocks or projections have him getting draft. Assuming he does come back, there will be several power conference programs still in need of some depth that could use his services.
3. G Darryl Morsell – Maryland Terrapins
2020-21 stats: 9.0 ppg and 2.8 apg
The Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year was thought to have been moving on but reports have come out that he may not only potentially return back to the Terrapins, but programs such as Duke and Marquette are also in the mix.
Morsell has never been a top-tier scorer or passer, with career averages of 8.7 ppg and 2.2 apg. But he’s a veteran with 108 career starts and is one of the best perimeter defenders in college basketball. If a team needs a veteran point guard that doesn’t have a high usage rate, Morsell would be a great add this late in the game.
