Davis has been making memories from the beginning

Considering that Davis has finished 4th or better in the nation in scoring every season he’s been at Detroit Mercy, he has had plenty of highlights. The first one he mentioned was breaking a big record for 3-pointers by a freshman, “Breaking Steph Curry’s record was a big thing. The game we played against IUPUI, I was trying so hard to get it. The shots I was shooting to get it were going in and out, and it was so frustrating. At the end I let it come to me, and that’s what everyone and my teammates were saying, just let it come to you.”

In his three years as a Titan, Davis says the biggest disappointment for him came this past year when they lost in the Horizon League quarterfinals to Northern Kentucky 70-69. He said, “You never want to lose, and especially when you lose on a buzzer-beater or a tip-in, you never want to lose a game like that. That was probably one of the most disappointing moments for sure.” He said.

Having the season end in such a fashion fuels Davis as he heads into his senior season, and that may not be good news for the rest of the Horizon League.
