Georgia Bulldogs

A program devoid of talent, the Bulldogs had to effectively change their entire roster after losing just about everybody to the portal. Among the top newcomers includes Gonzaga backup guard Aaron Cook, Virginia transfer and former top-50 prospect Jabri Abdur-Rahim, and USC sharpshooter Noah Baumann.

To be clear, Radford would be the best player on Georgia’s roster if he picked there and would become the go-to option. If he wants to have a large role and showcase skills outside of being a “glue guy”, the former Hokie may need to go somewhere where he can dictate things. They likely wouldn’t go to the Big Dance but Radford may go for 20 and 10 and put up some major stats.

The losses of stars Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn already will be tough to overcome but two now-former players that fly under the radar include guard Adam Miller and forward Giorgi Bezhanishvili, who provided size and some rebounding in the frontcourt. That leaves Florida transfer Omar Payne at the center position and a pair of 6’6 wings in Austin Hutcherson and Jacob Grandison potentially at the undersized four-spot.

If the Illini is going to go small anyway, plugging in Radford would make perfect sense. He could create a lot of mismatches at the combo forward spot and could have a fairly big role in the offense. The guard also fits Coach Brad Underwood’s desire for toughness down low and his rebounding abilities are badly needed on this roster. The only other conference that can claim that they’re better consistently than the ACC is the Big Ten so this would be a potential step up.
