The NCAA Basketball Tournament always gives us at least one Cinderella every year. This past season, that honor went to Oral Roberts, who as a 15 seed defeated both Ohio State and Florida to make it to the Sweet 16. They were led by a pair of star players in Max Abmas and Kevin Obanor, who combined to produce around 60 points a game in the postseason.

After the season, both star players entered the NBA Draft. Abmas has been projected to get drafted in some mocks and there’s a real chance he stays in, while Obanor is projected to go undrafted. So at the deadline for players to enter the transfer portal and still be eligible to play next season, the 6’8 power forward elected to submit his name and leave Oral Roberts.

While Abmas got a lot of attention after leading the country with 24.6 ppg, Obanor put up some historical numbers himself. The junior averaged 18.7 ppg and 9.6 rpg, including 0ver 50% shooting from the field and 46% from three-point range. He had several elite performances this past season, including a career-high 39 points against Omaha, as well as 21 points and 18 rebounds versus North Dakota.

Obanor proved that he can produce against high-level competition as well. The power forward had 30 points and 11 rebounds in the overtime win over Ohio State, along with 28 points and 11 rebounds against Florida. The former Summit League Rookie and Sixth Man of the Year has been an elite scorer and rebounder at Oral Roberts and if he comes back becomes a huge free agent name.

So where could the Houston native end up at? Here’s a look at eight potential landing spots that makes sense for Obanor.
