The NBA Draft lottery has passed, and the Detroit Pistons have been awarded the number one pick after a dismal season. This is the highest pick for Detroit since they picked well-known bust Darko Miličić with the #2 pick in 2004. The Houston Rockets were awarded the second pick and are followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers who are once again in the lottery and are picking at #3.
As the 2021 NBA Finals are about to begin. We see a nice change from big market franchises in the Finals. As the Phoenix Suns came out of the Western Conference beating the injury-riddled Lakers in the first round, swept the Denver Nuggets in the second round, and then knocked out Paul George and the Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.
The team that came out of the east was the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are making their first NBA Finals appearance since 1974. Back then the team was led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson. In the playoffs, the Bucks have had injury problems of their own with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo currently out after hyperextending his knee.
The Bucks started their playoff journey with a sweep of the defending eastern conference champion Miami Heat, then in the second round beating the Brooklyn Nets super team and lastly, Milwaukee outed the Atlanta Hawks in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals.
With the NBA Draft quickly approaching. There is a good idea of who the first pick of the NBA Draft will be. The rest of the draft is where it gets interesting. Some teams are trying to draft their franchise player and other teams are trying to draft prospects to help their team right away. Here who is I think each team will take from No. 30 to No. 1.
