Point Guard. Jalen Suggs . 4. 81. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. Gonzaga

Just two years removed from winning the NBA Championship in 2019, the Toronto Raptors look to be on the verge of a rebuild. After a disappointing season that saw the Raptors going 27-45, their worst record in nine years. And with Kyle Lowry most likely leaving in free agency, Jalen Suggs will look to take over the role of a franchise point guard.

Suggs has an outstanding basketball IQ and rarely turns the ball over. He has outstanding quickness and can get the rim at ease. He is also a very good defender that is good on both ends of the floor. He is a capable jump shooter but very streaky and needs to work on being more consistent.

The Raptors are in that weird in-between stage from trying to contend or starting a rebuild. Maybe Suggs will be the spark to push Toronto back in the playoffs. That will depend on what they want to do with franchise player Pascal Siakam who is only 28 but has had injury issues last season. Look for the Raptors to try and move on from Siakam and Fred VanVleet as I believe they are too far away to try and contend for a championship.
