Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 2. player. 169. Shooting Guard. G-League Team -Ignite. Jalen Green

The Houston Rockets have a had very up and down season. Dealing with franchise player James Harden wanting out at the start of the season to now drafting in the lottery. They do have some nice young pieces to start the rebuild off, with Kevin Porter Jr., Jae’Sean Tate, and Christian Wood who is still only 25 years old. Green would be the pick here to lead the franchise into a rebuild for years to come.

Green is a very good athlete that can finish at the rim and can create his own shot with ease. He is a very good ball-handler and a pretty good shooter at this stage in his development. To become an all-star, Green will have to learn how to score more in the half court and have better attention to detail on defense as he is often caught taking plays off.

Green certainly does not lack confidence, as the other day he said he wants to be compared to the legendary Kobe Bryant. And I think that is a trait Houston could use from a player they are drafting to be their franchise player. And outside of Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green has the most potential out of anyone in this draft. I think pairing him with Kevin Porter Jr. will give Houston a deadly scoring duo for years to come
