NBA Mock Draft 2021: Updated mock draft after combine and key deadline

With consecutive years missing the playoffs for the first time in franchise history it looks that the Spurs are trending towards a rebuild after years of dominance. And at 12 here they get a guy who has all the potential in the world. Johnson who was heavily criticized for leaving Duke halfway through the season to prepare for the draft is a very raw player. He has a ton of upside with all physical tools and is a decent playmaker.
His shooting mechanics need work, and he likes to avoid contact at the rim. There are also concerns about his character after leaving high school and his exit from Duke. Johnson will be a project but if there’s anyone who can get the best of a player it’s the legendary Coach Popovich.
For the first time in a while, the future in Charlotte looks promising. LaMelo Ball was named Rookie of the Year, while Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward were great this year. The thing that was missing for Charlotte was a quality big man, as Cody Zeller or Bismack Biyombo have not gotten the job done.
Jones will be a project but has all the physical and athletic tools in an NBA superstar. Jones is already an excellent defender and a good rim runner. But will have to improve his offensive game in general. But Charlotte will get a guy who could their starting center for years to come.
With all-stars, Brandon Ingram, and Zion Williamson on the Pelicans the time is now for them to make the playoffs. Wagner is someone who can come in and help a team right away. He a good shooter and an excellent defender. Wagner has an excellent basketball IQ which translates into his game on both sides of the floor. There are questions about Wagner’s athleticism and how high his ceiling is. I think Wagner will be a solid NBA player but how much better he gets is the concern.
