The Kings are a piece away from breaking out into the NBA playoffs. They have their franchise player in De’Aaron Fox and nice supporting players in Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton. They just need that one player to push them over the top.

Moody could be that guy, as he is a player who can come in and contribute right away. He is already a good shooter from all areas of the floor and an excellent defender. Moody also has a very good IQ and makes all the right plays on both ends of the floor. Like Wagner, Moody’s ceiling is the question here. As he is not a great finisher around the rim and has struggled to create against good defenders.

I think Moody can contribute right away to Sacramento. But I think it would be best for the Kings to trade the pick and get a veteran player to help them break their long standing playoff drought. What remains to be seen though if the roster is good enough and head coach Luke Walton is what is hindering Sacramento. Either way though, Moody could be a very solid pickup for Sacramento.
