NBA Draft 2021: Moses Moody, Chris Duarte among top available players
We’re here with the NBA Draft Thursday, July 29th. I decided to release my top 60 Big Board, along with a couple of others.
Here is a link to my top 30 I did in early May.
1. Cade Cunningham – Oklahoma State
Cunningham is the No. 1 player on my board and has been for a while. As a big guard, he can really pass the ball and create his own shot. Cunningham shot well from three. His turnovers were high and I think that was due to having to shooting around him but should come in and be a very good player from Day 1.
2. Evan Mobley – USC
Mobley, 16.4 points per game and 8.7 rebounds was the Pac-12 player of the year. He is an incredible defender that can protect the rim and guard on the perimeter. He can handle the ball, pass, and will be able to shoot. He’s an absolute stud.
3. Jalen Suggs – Gonzaga
Suggs is a super fearless player who is an excellent passer and defender. He can create his own shot but needs to be more consistent from three. The guy is super tough and will be a high-level point guard in the league
4. Jalen Green – NBA G League
Green is a bucket, the dude can absolutely score from all levels and I think he scores 20 a game at some point in his career.
5. Johnathan Kuminga – NBA G League
Very good athlete who has good size and plays really hard. The big question is if he is gonna shoot it from three.
6. Davion Mitchell – Baylor
An awesome defender who can get to the rim very well. I buy the shooting and think he’s gonna be a very good NBA player.
7. Moses Moody – Arkansas
An All-SEC player is a freshman, has a really good chance to be a nice 3 and D guy.
8. Alperen Sengun – Turkey
A super productive player in Turkey, won the MVP in his league last year. There are some questions about how his game will translate, especially defensively. But he’s too good on offense not to work
9. Scottie Barnes – Florida State
Barnes is an interesting prospect at 6’8 with a 7’2 wingspan Barnes will be able to play some small-ball 5 in the NBA and can guard 1-5. He can handle the ball and run some offense for your team. I’m lower on him just because I don’t think he can score at all in the half court but he will work in the league by being so good at everything else.
10. James Bouknight – UConn
Bouknight is an athletic guard who can really score, he can get his own shot and I actually think he will be a decent three-point shooter at the next level. He has the ability to be a good defender as well.
