NBA Draft 2021: Final projections of first 30 draft selections
By William Cash
With the NBA Draft finally upon us, pressure is mounting on teams in the lottery to find the right player for the franchise’s future.
A Champion has been crowned in the NBA, as Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns in six games to win the 2021 NBA Championship. This is the Bucks’ first NBA Championship since 1971 when the team was led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson.
We also had the first trade of the NBA Draft between the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies. The Pelicans traded Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams, No.10 pick, and the Lakers 2022 first-round pick in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas and the No.17 pick.
This trade sees New Orleans use the No.10 pick to get rid of the large contracts of Adams and Eric Bledsoe. This allows the Grizzlies to get a top prospect to pair with Ja Morant.
As the draft quickly approaches, most of my top 10 have stayed the same. But there is a major movement in the teens and late first round.
To get another perspective on these picks, I enlisted the help of fellow writer Drew Tineo. Who helped me decide each pick of this mock draft.
Here is the final Busting Bracket’s Mock Draft of the 2021 NBA Draft Season.
