41. . Point Guard. Golden State Warriors. Davion Mitchell. 7. player

Davion Mitchell was considered a late to early second-round pick all the college basketball season. Mitchell then showed out in the NCAA Tournament to help lead Baylor to their first-ever National Championship. This shot him up draft boards into the lottery.

Mitchell is one of the oldest players in the draft but arguably the most polished. Mitchell is an outstanding three-point shooter, a very good playmaker, and an excellent defender. Mitchell is the type of guy that is going to get the 50/50 balls.

Mitchell does struggle at the free-throw line only shooting 65% from the line last year. There are also question about his ceiling at only 22 years old. Mitchell is a projected lottery pick for teams being sure that he will contribute as a 3 and D player right away.

The Warriors get two lottery picks and I think they take Mitchell with the first one because of his ability to help them now.

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are getting older, and the Warriors are trying to capitalize to win another championship before that window closes. I think the Warriors will try to package the two lottery picks and trade them away.

However, if they do decide to keep them, Mitchell will come off the bench and be able to lead a second unit that struggled when Curry was on the bench.
