NBA Draft 2021: Final projections of first 30 draft selections

San Antonio is heading towards a rebuild for the first time in two decades. They have some solid young pieces in Lonnie Walker, Keldon Johnson, and Tre Jones.
They draft Giddey in the lottery to add that young core. Giddey is an outstanding passer and can read the floor very well. He has a good feel for the game but is a very raw shooter.
While I am not high on Giddey, the Spurs have a knack for making something out of foreign players. San Antonio takes a chance on a guy who has a good basketball IQ but lacks athleticism.
For the first time in a while, the future in Charlotte looks promising. LaMelo Ball was named Rookie of the Year, while Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward were great this year. They are just missing a quality big man to help Charlotte take that next step.
Jones is a typical Texas big man, with great physical and athletic tools. He also is a great defender but is very raw on the offensive end of the floor. But if the Hornets give Jones time to develop, he will be a very solid center for Charlotte in years to come.
Memphis gets this pick from New Orleans to move into the top 10. But Moody would be the perfect pick here as he has a high ceiling but can also help the Grizzlies immediately. He is a good shooter from three off the catch and a solid defender.
Moody does struggle to create his shot but could easily play the role that Mikal Bridges did for the Suns in Memphis.
