Kansas State Wildcats

Since the 2018-19 season, Kansas State basketball has struggled tremendously. Finishing 9th in the Big 12 last season and 10th (dead last) in 2019-20. There hasn’t been much hope for the Kansas State program but landing a guy like Williams would be a step in the right direction.

Taking a look at the roster, they have plenty of guard depth heading into next season but will lose at least three guys at that position heading into 2022-23. This opens the door for Williams to potentially see some good playing time as a freshman should he choose the Wildcats.

Offensively, Kansas State hasn’t had much to feel optimistic about the last two seasons putting up adjusted offensive efficiency rankings outside of the top-150 both seasons. They’ve held their own defensively considering the talent hasn’t been what Bruce Weber has had in past seasons.

Overall, Kansas State is going to really struggle to recruit consistently until they can put together some success on the court. Other than playing time, Kansas State doesn’t have a ton to offer Williams and it will be tough for the Wildcats to land the top-150 prospect.
