The third edition of the Daily NCAA Basketball Musings will look at the news surrounding Bronny James, Mason Faulkner, Kyle Filipowski, and Tyrece Radford. As well as, Tennessee State offering Hansel Emmanuel Donato Domínguez his first D-I scholarship and Wichita State’s non-conference schedule.

4 Favorites in the recruitment for Bronny James 

LeBron James Jr., the No. 30 rated player in the class of 2023 per 247Sports, has been the center of the recruiting world for some time but little really is know about where the rising high school junior college plans. However, Yahoo Sports believe that Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and UNC might be standing out. The Wildcats and Blue Devils have been in the mix for the 6-3 combo guard. for a while

"“Bronny has been a positive surprise,” an NBA scout said, via Yahoo Sports, after watching James at the Peach Jam in late July.  “He’s shown me he’s more than a last name, he can make shots and handle the ball. He’s very even-keeled for someone who’s under the microscope.”"

USA to compete in 3×3 FIBA U18 World Cup

Recent Duke commit Kyle Filipowski, who is a four-star prospect, will team with  Eric Dailey Jr. (IMG Academy/Tampa, Fla.), 4-star Kansas commit Gradey Dick and  Baylor commit Keyonte George, a consensus top-5 rated recruit in 2022, to represent the USA in the 3×3 FIBA U18 World that will take place in Debrecen, Hungary (Aug. 24-29). Dailey, also a 4-star prospect in the class of 2022, holds 12 offers with Florida, Michigan and Texas A&M reportedly emerging as the favorites.

USA is paired in Group D with Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia, and Sri Lanka. After playing each of the teams in its group, the top two finishing teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals. Quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinals. The two winning semifinal teams advance to the gold medal game, while the semifinal losing teams play for a bronze medal. Brazil, France, Indonesia, Kazakhastan, Ukraine, Dominican Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Russia, Mongolia, Belarus, Egypt, Israel, Germany, and Romania will also compete.

The women will also compete with team USA’s squad consisting of Janiah Barker (Tampa Bay Tech H.S., Fla./Marietta, Ga.), UConn commit Ayanna Patterson, Kiki Rice (Sidwell Friends School/Bethesda, Md.), and Mikaylah Williams (Parkway H.S./Bossier City, La.).
