The top NCAA Basketball prospect from the state of Utah has updated his recruitment. Collin Chandler has risen up the rankings ladder of the past few months, now a consensus top-100 overall prospect and according to 247sportsComposite, is now at No. 71.

Chandler hails from Farmington, Utah, and is one of the best pure scorers in the 2022 recruiting class from out west. The 6’4 and 175-pound guard can take opponents off the dribble, has good foot speed, and create his own shot. Chandler projects as a potential 40% three-point shooter at the next level and can be a double-digit starter and contributor.

It’s important to note here that Chandler is a member of the Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints (LDS/Mormon Church) and could potentially take a two-year mission, meaning that he would then become a member of the 2024 recruiting class. In the past, there have been players for football and basketball that have gone on missions, before coming back and re-opening their recruitment.

However, more often than not, recruits who leave for two years end up remaining with the teams they commit to, which is why teams have been after Chandler’s signature. And now we know the six programs that are in the running to land him.

This is a unique type of recruitment coverage because it’s not official whether or not Chandler will go on a mission. So this piece will factor in both the 2022 and 2024 classifications for these six options. Which teams stand out in terms of best potential fit?
