Alabama Basketball enters the 2021-22 basketball season as one of the best teams in the nation. Although they lost SEC Player of the Year Herb Jones, First Team All-SEC member John Petty, and All-Freshman Team member Josh Primo, plus center Jordan Bruner, the Crimson Tide are still set to be a top-10 team entering the season.

Alabama returned Second Team All-SEC member Jaden Shackelford, and also SEC Tournament MVP Jahvon Quinerly, and they added the 15th, and 35th overall recruits in the Class of 2021 in J.D. Davison, and Charles Bediako, and in the end the Tide brought in the 12th overall recruiting class, which was good enough for the third-best class in the SEC.

In addition to the returnees, and the freshmen Alabama added, they also get a big man in Alex Tchikou who missed the entire 2020-21 season due to an Achilles injury, and they also added transfers in four-star Nimari Burnett from Texas Tech, and Noah Gurley from Furman.

All that being said, the Crimson Tide is expected to have a squad capable of making some noise in 2021-22, and if they want to get to the program’s first Final Four, they’re going to have to get through some top teams including three of the Final Four teams from 2021 with Gonzaga, Baylor, and Houston in the regular season.

Nonetheless, Alabama is going to be a good team, that much we know, but what is their depth chart going to look like heading into the season?

Note: Before we get into the depth chart, expect Alabama to play a lot of position-less basketball from the one through the three, and because of that there will be some interesting combinations.
