Shooting Guard/Two Guard

Starter: Adam Flagler

Flagler made a splash in his one season at Presbyterian, by being the freshman of the year in the conference, with 15.9 points per game on 38% from beyond the arc.

What has become a main stable within Scott Drew’s program is using redshirts. During his transfer year, Flagler created a connection with the team while using his redshirt and was ready for his role in 2020-2021.

Flagler finished with 9.1 points per game on 43% from beyond the arc, lead by a season-high 22 points against Iowa State and 18 points against No. 5 Illinois.

With the guard trio to the NBA, Flagler slides in as the starting two-guard and should be able to showcase more of what he provided last season. He and Akinjo make one of the best backcourts in the conference.

Bench: Langston Love

Love ranked as the No.40 recruit, according to 247 from Montverde Academy, and is an immediate impact scorer. On the 2019 team, with Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes, the leading scorer was Love.

Although Love is not expected to start, he has a chance to get more playing time than Cryer did last season.

Love’s defending ability is a good level and has a chance for a higher upside. Standing at 6-foot-4, Love has an opportunity to be used in three-guard lineups, an area Scott Drew used all season last year.
