Oklahoma State Basketball: Projected starting lineup and depth chart for 2021-22
By Andrew Tineo
Shooting Guard/Two-Guard
Starter: Isaac Likekele
Likekele has been an impact player since he’s stepped on campus and has missed four starts in his career.
Although Likekele hasn’t gotten worse, the expectation has increased and Likekele has fallen short of those over the past few seasons.
The role of Likekele among Oklahoma State fans is an excellent rebounder and playmaker in the open court. His 44% three-point percentage is deceiving as he made eight all season.
His role is clear and will be interesting how he will gel with another pair of young guards around him, after playing with Cunningham last year.
Bench: Rondel Walker/Donovan Williams
The other notable 2020 commit from Oklahoma State was Rondel Walker, who made tremendous strides scoring last season.
Averaging 7.8 points per game and 25.5 minutes per game, Walker received starter-level minutes, while only accumulating seven starts on the season.
Walker’s ability to be a playmaker is on the level of Anderson and playing in the same lineup can have a ton of pros. Walker creating a consistent three-point shot will be key, after 33% last year.
Williams was playing in minimal minutes until sustaining a season-ending knee injury.
With the return from the injury and depth in the backcourt, it will be difficult for Williams to find consistent minutes this season.
