8. G Xavier Pinson – LSU Tigers

Previous School: Missouri

One of the few players to transfer within the conference this offseason, Pinson lands at LSU after an impressive three seasons at Missouri. A career 10.3 PPG scorer, Pinson started in 49 of 99 career games which included a career-year a season ago in which he started in all 26 games putting up career-highs in almost every statistical category.

An experienced point guard, Pinson will likely take over at the helm of what should be a very good Tigers team offensively, even despite losing all of their top scorers from a year ago. Tasked with replacing Ja’Vonte Smart, the Tigers should not skip a beat at the point guard position this season with the experienced Pinson leading the way for what will be a young but exciting LSU team.

7. G Myreon Jones – Florida Gators

Previous School: Penn State

When looking at arguably the best “pure-scorers” entering the SEC this season via transfer, it will be hard to find one arguably better than Jones. A three-year player at Penn State, Jones started in all but two games the past two seasons for the Nittany Lions where he averaged 13+ PPG in both, as well as 15.3 PPG, 2.7 RPG, and 2 APG a year ago.

A career 37.6% three-point shooter, Jones has the ability to score from all three levels, as well as a solid free-throw shooter with the ability to get to the line on a regular basis. While Florida brought in a few other notable guards this offseason to pair with the returning Tyree Appleby, Jones will easily provide the biggest immediate impact with the Gators this season.
