Arkansas Basketball expectations for 2021-22

The tournament run last season got the fanbase and coach into a lathering fervor and the talent acquisitions this offseason have done little to calm things down. I think Arkansas has a very high ceiling, perhaps even as high as last season’s team if things fall right and Musselman is becoming quite adept at taking a bunch of different colors and turning them into a masterpiece.

One thing you can notice with the guys Musselman brought in is that he has tried to replicate the switchability of last year’s roster, hoping the likes of Umude, Toney, Johnson, etc. can bring what Smith, Tate, and Moody did.

Whether that comes to fruition or not, the roster gives him options to mix and match to find the right combination. On the other end of the floor, the Razorbacks’ length and ability to switch four positions on the floor and minimize the team’s ability to attack Lykes on the defensive end due to his size.

The cards in this deck may be of a different suit than last year’s, but the numbers are the same and with Musselman doing the shuffling and dealing, it may become increasingly harder to bet against Arkansas coming up aces again.
