5. How many NCAA Tournament bids will the conference get?

Kay

I believe they can get nine bids for the 2022 NCAA tournament. There are some very solid and proven coaches in the Big Ten who are continuing to improve upon their success on the court from last season and there are various teams with seniors with experience in the NCAA tournament. Big Ten can have the best overall conference in College Basketball for this season and they should be rewarded with getting nine teams into the NCAA tournament in 2022.

Mauro

Right now before the season starts I will go with eight.  Michigan, Illinois, Rutgers, Purdue, Maryland, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State.  Iowa and Wisconsin are potential bubble teams.  The rest of the league is really going to have to get some quality wins to make it on the bubble but every team could knock off the other.

Waddell

Seven.  Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio State.  No surprise outsiders and a clear drop-off in records and performance after this top half.

Farmer

While last year’s abysmal tournament performance didn’t do the league any favors, the conference should still be considered one of the best in the country. As things stand, I see eight tournament teams when I look at the conference. Those teams are Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio State, Maryland, Michigan State, and Rutgers.
