1. Which is the best value bet to win the 2021-22 NCAA Basketball title?

Farmer

Illinois is the best value bet to win the national title at 40-1. Brad Underwood’s team will have the best point guard and center in possibly every game they play this season in Andre Curbelo and Kofi Cockburn, respectively. The Illini are also loaded with depth and hungry after Loyola left a bad taste in their mouth last March.

Waddell

Illinois at +4000 is juicy.  There is a world where Andre Curbelo breaks out as the best point guard in college basketball and forms the most lethal two-man game in the sport with Kofi Cockburn.  With a longshot value bet, you’re looking for upside and there’s no shortage with Illinois.

Mumm

Gonzaga being the odds on favorite at +800 is no surprise here and that’s still relatively good value for a line expected to drastically decrease as the season unfolds. However, getting +1500 for Kansas at this point is equally intriguing.

The Jayhawks landed arguably one of the best point guards in the nation via transfer this offseason in Remy Martin and return all members of their core from 2020 except Marcus Garrett. Bill Self’s group is deeper than they were last season and has the means to improve on both ends of the court.
