Starter: Nate Laszewski

2020-21 stats: 13.3 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 67.8% eFG, 43.4% 3P, 31.3 MPG

Laszewski is one of the most skilled big men in the country. He is the most efficient three-point shooter on the team but also has the ability to take larger defenders off the dribble from the perimeter, face-up in the mid-post, and even score from a more traditional back-to-the-basket role in the low-post.

His defensive game still needs some work but putting on a few pounds of muscle greatly helped last season. His continued development will be a process largely centered around strength and physicality, not effort.

Laszewski gives Notre Dame a unique piece—a frustratingly versatile offensive weapon for defenses to try to handle.

Bench: Elijah Taylor

Elijah Taylor missed his freshman season after having ankle surgery, but projects to be healthy for the 2021-22 season. Although his role will be limited, he gives Brey a defensive-minded backup for Laszewski on an offensive-minded team. Taylor has retained all of his initial eligibility.
