3. Which transfer will have the biggest impact in the ACC?

Theo John. He’s a big man set to make quite the defensive anchor on the interior as a graduate transfer. He’ll make the Blue Devils tough to score on in 2021-22 with his size and frame.

After putting up 13.0 points per game as a freshman at Marquette, it’s going to be interesting to see how Dawson Garcia fares at North Carolina under Hubert Davis. There are a number of high-impact transfers in the conference, but Garcia will be an important piece for this Tar Heels program from day one as they look to bounce back this season.

I think the simple answer for who is going to be the biggest impact transfer, is Jayden Gardner. Gardner was a stud at East Carolina averaging 18.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, and obviously, the competition with ECU isn’t nearly what it’ll be with Virginia, but still, if he’s putting up those numbers, I can only imagine he will continue to have some level of success with the Cavaliers.

Some other players that will make significant impacts on their teams who are expected to be good are Dawson Garcia for North Carolina, Caleb Mills for Florida State, and depending on how he’s used, maybe Theo John for Duke.
