5. Will Syracuse make the NCAA Tournament?

Every year I ask myself this and every year, the answer has been: Yes. Jim Boeheim has a group of lethal, wiry shooters and a sleeper on the wing in Benny Williams. The Orange should be an NCAA Tournament squad even if it’s an 8 or 9-seed.

We all know how this works. Syracuse will play some fantastic games against the big programs, they’ll lose a few head-scratchers, they’ll be a bubble team that barely gets into the NCAA Tournament, and they’ll probably win a game or two while there. The Orange have no shortage of shooting on their team and if the defense comes together they could be dangerous in March once more.

es, the Syracuse Orange will make the 2021 NCAA Tournament. I think Buddy Boeheim is going to have a massive season, Joe Girard is going to take a big step up, and Bourama Sidibe, and Jesse Edwards will be serviceable. I wouldn’t expect Syracuse to be close to winning an ACC title this year, in fact, I think they will be a middle-of-the-pack team in the ACC, but I think a middle-of-the-pack ACC team, is an NCAA Tournament team.

I think just like in previous years, the Orange will be a bubble team in February, string together a few wins, and give them the chance to make a run in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
