Arizona’s schedule

Even though the schedule was mostly set before Lloyd’s arrival, the Arizona schedule will have some early tests for the young Wildcats. They begin the year at home for three games against Northern Arizona, Texas-Grande Valley, and North Dakota State.

They hit the road for the first time just before Thanksgiving, going to Las Vegas for the Roman Main Event to face Wichita State and either Michigan or UNLV, in a game where if they get the Wolverines will be a good litmus test for the young Cats. They then return home for two, one of which is a league game with Washington before hitting the road again.

December 5th they head to Corvallis to take on the surprise of the league, Oregon State, and then a week later find themselves in Champaign to take on Illinois. They have two more home games with Northern Colorado and Cal Baptist before finishing their non-conference slate on December 22 in Knoxville against Tennessee.

The schedule is a good mix of games the team should win with a few good tests sprinkled in, with a potential Michigan matchup and road tilts with Illinois and Tennessee topping the list. This schedule should give Lloyd a good feel for what kind of team he has heading into conference play.
