Auburn Basketball you could certainly argue is one of the more intriguing teams in the country as we enter the 2021-22 college basketball season. The preseason No. 22 team in the country, the Tigers have talent and depth evident after a strong offseason and are set to bounce back after a rough 2020-21 campaign.

The Tigers are coming off a 13-14 showing a year ago (7-11 in SEC), Auburn’s first losing season since 2015-16, which was year two of the Bruce Pearl era. Sporting a younger team compared to years past, the Tigers saw struggles at times throughout the season to a roster that included injuries, inexperience, and more.

Tasked with replacing notables such as Sharife Cooper and JT Thor who are now in the NBA, Auburn will also have to replace two key guards in Justin Powell and Jamal Johnson as well. In all, the Tigers will have to replace four of their top six leaders scorers from a year ago, each of whom averaged over 9+ PPG.

However, this could be an easy task with a roster that added some key pieces in the offseason via the transfer portal, combined with a few key returning players, as well as one of the top freshmen in the country. Yes, Auburn will be without returning leader scorer Allen Flanigan (injury) likely until SEC play, but the Tigers will still likely enter January as one of the top teams in the conference.

Here is a look at how the Tigers starting lineup and rotation may stack up during the 2021-22 season, potentially one of the most talented and deepest in the SEC.

NOTE: This will look at the lineup when fully healthy, as well as what the rotation will likely look-like until Flanigan returns.
