Small Forward

Starter: Allen Flanigan

As mentioned previously, Flanigan will miss almost all of non-conference play with an injury but should return at some point in SEC play as the Tigers starting small forward.

A talented wing, Flanigan enjoyed a massive breakout season as the Tigers’ primary leading scorer a year ago where he averaged 14.3 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 2.9 APG. Starting in all 27 games last season, Flanigan shot an impressive 45.5% from the field, as well as scoring in double-figures in 22 of 27 games that also included six 20+ point games.

Flanigan should be one of the top primary scoring options for the Tigers once again this season when he returns but could take some time to get back to 100%. One of the most talented scoring wings in the SEC, Flanigan will provide an instant impact when he returns in SEC play.

Backup: Chris Moore

While the previously mentioned Cambridge will play a key role in the absence of Flanigan, another player who could play an important role is Moore, a potential breakout candidate for the Tigers this season.

A now sophomore, Moore appeared in 25 games off the bench for the Tigers a year ago as a freshman in which he averaged 2.8 PPG and 2 RPG across 11.3 MPG. Shooting 56.3% from the field last season, Moore has the ability to play both on the wing and down low, and will likely see time at both this season.
