Key reserves

G Ty Berry, Sophomore

A former four-star recruit, Ty Berry showed some flashes of the bench during his freshman season. He hit 36.5 percent of his threes and made more three-point field goals than two-point field goals for the year. Berry only averaged 14.5 minutes per game, but might be one of the top options off the bench as Collins looks to develop a three-point ace.

G/F Casey Simmons, Freshman

Casey Simmons is one of the best recruits in Northwestern history, a four-star shooting guard ranked just outside of 247 Sports’ Top 100 list. He picked Northwestern over the likes of Boston College, Miami, and Georgetown. He’s expected to be a strong defender and should be able to use his athletic tools to make an immediate impact.

G Ryan Greer, Senior

Ryan Greer has spent the past three years riding the pine. He received his first start last year, but only averaged 13 minutes per game, scoring 2.7 points per contest. Greer hit 47.1 percent of his three-pointers, but with only 17 attempts, the sample size is too small to extrapolate any potential success this year.

F Elyjah Williams, Graduate Student

Elyjah Williams come over from Fairleigh Dickinson, where he spent the first four years of his collegiate career developing into a solid player. He made the All-NEC Third Team last season after averaging 13.6 points per game, leading the conference in effective field goal percentage. The jump to the Big Ten is a significant one, but Williams should be the best forward off the bench.
