25. F Christian Bishop – Texas Longhorns

2020-21 stats: 11.0 ppg and 6.4 rpg at Creighton

Although he’s a bit undersized at 6’7 and doesn’t spread the floor offensively, Bishop is still one of the best “glue guy” big men in NCAA Basketball and still finds a way to contribute offensively, while also being a very good interior defender. Bishop tends to find himself at the right spot on the court and played a big role in Creighton’s first Sweet 16 run in decades.

Bishop is a great fit for what head coach Chris Beard likes with his bigs. He doesn’t need the ball but still finds a way to make an impact and can play both the forward and small-ball center in any kind of lineup. With all of the newcomers to the Texas roster, bet on Bishop to be part of the core rotation.

24. G Caleb Mills – Florida State Seminoles

2019-20 stats: 13.2 ppg and 2.6 rpg at Houston

The 6’3 guard left the Cougars after four games last season but became a needed pickup for the Seminoles after losing so much talent this offseason. Mills is a combo guard that can run the offense at point but also play off the ball thanks to his three-point shooting ability. He’s also a sound defender as well, which was why he was preseason AAC Player of the Year before.

With Scottie Barnes and MJ Walker gone, Mills is the top non-freshman guard on the roster and will start at point. He fits Florida State’s system on both ends and as long as he can distribute the basketball well, things should go smoothly for the team this season.

23. G Adam Miller – LSU Tigers

2020-21 stats: 8.3 ppg and 2.8 rpg at Illinois

The former top-40 prospect started all 31 games at Illinois when healthy last season and had some games of real promise as a scoring guard. But he was inconsistent as well, with 11 games of five or fewer points. The 6’3 guard still has NBA potential as a combo guard and is a very good shooter naturally too.

At LSU, Miller will be paired with another combo guard in Missouri transfer Xavier Pinson in the backcourt, which will offensively be potent. How Miller does as a facilitator could ultimately determine how good the Tigers are but this guard is a solid option to bet on.

*Update: Miller suffered a lower leg injury and will be out for the 2021-22 NCAA Basketball season.

22. G Au’Diese Toney – Arkansas Razorbacks

2020-21 stats: 14.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg at Pittsburgh

Toney is a 6’6 versatile playmaker that can play and defend three different positions on the court. His offensive game took some time to blossom but his improved shooting ability and already aggressive slashing style will be a good fit at his new stop.

Arkansas loves versatile athletes and Toney can either start or come off the bench anywhere on the court. His defense will need to be more consistent, as well as his three-point shooting but his size and rebounding ability will create potential mismatches in the SEC.

21. G Darryl Morsell – Marquette Golden Eagles

2020-21 stats: 9.0 ppg and 2.8 apg at Maryland

Morsell was a four-year starter with the Terrapins and while never averaging double figures, was an outstanding individual defender, including winning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year this past season. He’s a solid enough offensive player and passer but his disruptive ability on the other end is what Marquette and new head coach Shaka Smart need most.

The Golden Eagles’ point guard situation likely will be on four-star freshman guard Stevie Mitchell at first but look for Morsell to also handle the lead guard duties as well. The 5th-year transfer provides experience and defense for a team that’ll need to grind out games instead of the shootouts we’ve been used to in the past with the program.
