How much of an adjustment period will Texas have with the number of transfers?

I believe Texas will have one, although I do not believe it will be too long. Its well-known Texas was among the biggest winners in the off-season with the flashy head coach hire and the additions of notable transfers.

Minnesota guard Marcus Carr leads the group, alongside Kentucky guard Devin Askew, Creighton forward Christian Bishop, and Utah forward Timmy Allen.

Bringing back core players in Andrew Jones and Courtney Ramey adds a different dynamic and depth, similar to Baylor’s guards last season.

Although every new team has chemistry issues in the early stages, adding one with a brand new head coach and scheme can be hard to handle.

Texas doesn’t begin their non-conference slate with cupcakes either, as the second game of the year is a road game against No.1 Gonzaga.

The rest of the slate in 2021 is relatively easy, with the lone power six games, being against Seton Hall and Stanford.

However, I would not be surprised if the cohesion is not spot on to begin the season. Texas has not been ranked this high in the pre-season since 2009-2010 in the middle of Rick Barnes’ tenure in Austin.

The hype will be at an all-time high and I believe Texas hits their stride heading into the beginning of conference play when the team’s connection is near maximum capacity.
