5. Best under-the-radar game in the first week? – Jason Burgess – @Collegehoopsguy

As mentioned in question 3, this is a question that I am going to pick the best under-the-radar game between power five schools within the first week of the season.  We all know about the Champions classic with Kansas and Michigan State and Duke and Kentucky.  There is also a huge game between two top-five teams on Saturday when Gonzaga and Texas meet.  Those games are understandably getting all the hype.  There is another game though that is going to be just as competitive and should still have your viewing attention.

Florida hosts in-state rival the Florida State Seminoles in a game on Sunday.  The Gators have had a lot of their own success over the years with head coach Mike White and they are likely going to make the tournament this year. While Florida may not currently be ranked they probably will be at some point.  They have a good portion of their roster returning from last season and have a good recruiting class coming back so don’t sleep on Florida especially with a rival coming to Gainesville in the Seminoles.

Florida State is one of the best-coached teams in the country; they have two top 20 recruits on the roster and a lot of players returning from last year.  The Seminoles are ranked heading into the season again and are going to be one of the threats to win the ACC again.

Next. Ranking every team for 2021-22 season. dark

This game can go either way as it is each team’s second game and anything can happen this early in the season and this is going to be a hard-fought game.  Florida and Florida State both don’t play overly fast so this one may be low-scoring and a grind-it-out type of game but it will still be appointment television.
