NCAA Basketball: 2021 Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament preview and prediction
By Bryan Mauro
Feast week is upon us and that means that we are all treated to some great multi-team events for an entire week. The Battle 4 Atlantis has turned into one of the premier NCAA Basketball tournaments in the country and rivals the Maui Invitational when it comes to overall field and competitiveness. The Battle 4 Atlantis is going to be one of the best early-season tournaments this year as well. The field is loaded and is going to be a great couple of days over Thanksgiving.
The tournament is back to its home at the Atlantis resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas. So not only do these teams get to play against some of the best teams in the country, but they also get an all-expenses-paid trip to the Bahamas.
Of course, Atlantis doesn’t come equipped with a basketball court, so the tournament directors have turned one of the ballrooms into a makeshift basketball arena for the week. The ceiling is low, there is carpet on the end of the court and the fans are under a blue UV light which makes the Battle 4 Atlantis one of the coolest atmospheres on any tournament in NCAA Basketball.
As mentioned, this year’s field is loaded. There are also multiple final four teams, a national champion, three of the best coaches in the game, and a ton of high-profile freshmen. Every team in this field came into the year with expectations and while only one team can leave with the title it is going to be some great basketball played on Paradise Island from November 24th to November 26th. Let’s get into the key players for every team, a breakdown of the brackets and each game.
