Bracketology 2022: Duke, Wisconsin, and Arizona among Feast Week winners

It’s truly hard, if not possible, to find a better postseason sports experience than the NCAA Tournament, which brings all people together, even those who aren’t regularly fans of college basketball. Each year’s Tournament provides intriguing matchups, unforgettable moments, and crowns one true champion. Though this year’s Tournament is still more than three and a half months away, it’s easy to see that we could be in for another awesome experience.
After three weeks, we’ve already had our fair share of dramatic moments and incredible games in this college basketball season. It’s still less than a month, but it would take quite a long time to explicitly detail all the wild things that have happened this season. Great teams have lost thrilling games, amazing performances have come out of nowhere, and we’ve had a few very exciting buzzer beaters too. What we knew in the preseason seems to never be true, especially as more and more of these games are played.
This week gave us a load of holiday tournaments around Thanksgiving, with particular intrigue around the Maui Invitational, the Battle 4 Atlantis, and the ESPN Events Invitational. A few teams have stood out from their play, especially after showing up in a big way at these kinds of tournaments. Others have struggled, especially compared to their preseason expectations.
Our focus today will be on those teams that were thriving. We’ll be taking a look at five teams that were winners from past week in regards to bracketology. As per usual, more than five teams had positive weeks, leaving us to focus on the very best impacts made this past week. As previously teased, there were a few teams that stood out at these holiday tournaments, but those weren’t the only exciting games from the past week.
The calendar may read November, but we’ve got a number of teams already making an impact on their resumes for the Selection Committee to evaluate in just over three months. Let’s get right into those teams.
