Prentiss Hubb is really struggling right now

Saying Prentiss Hubb is struggling right now is putting it lightly so far in the 2021-22 season. The senior guard has been in double figures at 11 points against Chaminade and Texas A&M but it has been a brutal start to the year for Hubb.

There is still a lot of season left and he has the talent as we have seen in years past out of him but this was not expected by a lot of people especially in the ACC as he was voted to the All-ACC Second Team in October. Coach Brey and the coaching staff have to find the point guard in Hubb who averaged 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and shot the ball well from the field and beyond the three-point line.

Monday night Prentiss Hubb nightmare start to the season continued as he went 0-5 while going 0-3 from three. Against Illinois, he was wide open a few times and the shots were not even close to going in which is very worrisome. Hubb is shooting 4 for 29 from 3 point land which is 13.7%. This just cannot happen for their senior point guard.

Notre Dame needs him to be a main scorer out there and is relying on him to contribute. Not saying he has to score 20 points every night either but they do need him to get back to being a guy they can rely on moving forward on the offensive end of the floor.
