. 4-5. . Bulldogs . 13. team. 527

Although still early, Georgia has ever so slightly exceeded my low expectations for them entering the season. This is largely due to a win over a Memphis team that was ranked No. 18 at the time. We have since learned that Memphis is nowhere near a Top 25 team, but it still serves as an impressive upset win for Georgia.

The team’s lack of shooting has been evident so far, ranking No. 273 nationally in 3P% and No. 303 in the percentage of their total points that come from behind the arc.

Southern Illinois (2016-20) and Gonzaga (2020-21) transfer PG Aaron Cook has probably been the team’s best player, averaging 11.0 PPG and 6.8 APG. Cook ranks No. 5 nationally in assist rate. Illinois-Chicago transfer Braelen Bridges has also played well, leading the team in scoring and eFG% with 12.7 PPG on 65.2% shooting.

The Bulldogs’ overall record of 4-5 is hardly impressive, although they have faced a somewhat difficult schedule so far. That said, this team does pretty much nothing well and will almost certainly finish in the bottom two of the SEC this season.
